The site you are reading. It exists because I wanted one address that outlives whatever platform is fashionable this year.
How it works
Every page is a Markdown file. GitHub Pages runs Jekyll over the repository on
every push and serves the result. There is no build step on my machine, no
node_modules, and nothing to keep up to date.
Design
Warm bone type on a cool near-black, one accent colour used only to signal state, and hairlines instead of boxes. The strip under the navigation is real instrumentation: it counts the entries, sums the words, and names the commit this deploy was built from. It measures the archive, not the server.
What it deliberately does not have
No analytics. No cookie banner, because there are no cookies to warn about. No comments. No newsletter capture. No JavaScript at all.
